DFRESH Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 So here's one.... Why do we try to use one-size fits all vMPF out-processing checklists? Over half of the items on my checklist clearly do not apply to me. So we have somebody loading these checklists so that I can call 69 different agencies and explain that their checklist item has nothing to do with me. Then they can access my checklist and clear me of something that I never should have needed to be cleared for.

Let me get this right you want MPF to load individualized checklists for people, when they can barely not fuck up the everyday routine tasks they have to do? Lay off the crazy pills. (/sarcasm, but seriously) Edited September 5, 2013 by Fuzz

Lay off the crazy pills. (/sarcasm, but seriously) Maybe even just a set of templates...officer/enlisted, SRA and below versus everyone else. That way the LtCol on his way to staff doesn't have to get "dorm leader" checked off his outprocessing checklist. Flyer/non-flyer, so that ARMS troops can stop being told to get their FEF.
DFRESH Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Anybody else hear this little gem: "Your orders are on their way to get authenticated at HQ AFPC. Due to the FY14 budget not being approved, they are not approving all orders until they receive more funding." 1
matmacwc Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Guess you'll stay in the ANG, not bad all in all. I drug my feet leaving RTU at Springfield.

DFRESH Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 haha, got orders today. But now on to the next issue... DPS... WTFO!? If I use Chrome, I can't add the address for dropoff. If I use IE, I say it's not a local move, and the software completely locks up!
Spinner Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out that Army POS. Let me know if you have any success.
DFRESH Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Seriously, I've tried at home using IE 10 and Chrome... and I've tried at work. No matter where I try, it locks up as soon as I click certain things (different item for each scenario).
brabus Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 (edited) The same thing happened to me over 2 years ago on the last PCS...glad to see they've fixed nothing. I gave up and worked with people at TMO, despite their best efforts to not work. Edited September 7, 2013 by brabus
sirjrod00 Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 I went home and used Firefox for the DPS website...it was the only way I could get it to work.

DFRESH Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 I went with Firefox 3.6, I had to e&e my way through the login process since apparently firefox 3.6 doesn't work with my cac reader. But I was finally able to get logged in and convince the program to accept my city input.
