Hot Dogs!
Does anyone have any good recommendations for an adaper for the single plug cord on helmets to the civilian general aviation dual plug set-up?

murdocjxx
You're going to look so cool in your 152 with a helmet!! Mask up or down though? Edited September 30, 2013 by murdocjxx
moosepileit
https://www.marvgolden.com/mg-16-military-to-g-a-headset-conversion-kit.html Assuming you have a boom mike on your hemet already, you are probably going to need a way to make your voice heard- If you have a paddle-shaped low impedance mike from a Herc, without something like the link- you are going to hear the laughter but not be able to transmit your quibbling. eta- if you can't handle a screwdriver or get some help at AFE- you can try this for a few bucks less- https://www.marvgolden.com/mg-14-military-to-g-a-headset-adapter.html Edited September 30, 2013 by moosepileit
Hot Dogs!
Thanks Herk and moose, I appreciate the help! You're going to look so cool in your 152 with a helmet!! Mask up or down though? Thanks! It's actually just for my car so I can hook it up to a portable and drive around the airport real fast - sooooooo, mask up. I sure hope people see me and think I'm finally cool after that. Edited October 2, 2013 by Hot Dogs!
10percenttruth
If you want to convert a headset from mil to civ, a quick google search will net you an adapter for the H10-76 (standard David Clark headset) for about $75. I don't see why that wouldn't work for a helmet, but YMMV.
