amcflyboy Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Airplane wrenching :)https://www.gunfighteraviation.com Lots of sections are still under construction on the site, but that'll change soon. Besides, we're busy bending wrenches. :) ETA: website. M2, please let me know if this violates any rules, and I'll remove it. Congrats bro, sounds like a good deal. I'm trying to bring balance to my "three legged bar stool" by balancing my Guard Job, Airline Job and family. Moved away from the Guard base because ODF is turning sour, man days are drying up, and politics are getting out of control. Jetblue and my family now has more of my attention because I live in base, and only commute once a month to New York for drill weekend. 1
Marco Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) Thanks, bro. I won't lie, it has its moments of "What the heck did I get myself into?" But as with everything you get out of it what you put in. So far, I've been able to create jobs for Vets and other Guard bros both full and part-time. Even brought dudes on-board to help out when the furlough was going on. It wasn't an overnight thing either. I went a year of pulling double duty of AGR and running the company on top of the 5 years I spent networking and working for free in other people's hangars. Not trying to pat myself on the back, just adding some reality to the story for anyone who reads this so they don't make a rash decision. I don't consider anything a success until I'm retired and traveling the world from one surf break to the next while the kids are off getting their college edumacation. It was a tough decision to pull myself off the govt teet, but I haven't regretted it yet. ETA: back on topic: Glad I'm not in that Wing. :) Edited November 27, 2013 by Marco
