stract Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 so, I used to not have a problem logging into the boards from work, but then we migrated to AFNET, and the redirect page when you hit submit to login gets blocked. In the past if they happened, I was usually able to just refresh the page and the login would have taken, but not anymore. Any idea how to login at work, or are we just SOL?
Day Man Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 (edited) when I was at KTCM I couldn't login from work... Edited November 19, 2013 by day man
M2 Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I can't login from work either, and it's not just BODN but several firearm forums as well...
hispeed7721 Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 It's blocked at HRT for being a "military news/forum" site. Go figure we aren't allowed to login to military sites on base. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
stract Posted November 20, 2013 Author Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) Only the login redirect is blocked, I can browse the site just fine as long as I don't try to log in. But not logging in is annoying, I can't navigate to the most recent posts, etc. Edited November 20, 2013 by stract
Champ Kind Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Seeing the same thing -- also noticed it occurred after our AFNET migration.
RASH Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Been the same at LRF for a couple years... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Breckey Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Same with all of the Peterson AFNET bases. Guess I'll just use my phone...
DFRESH Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I'll see if I can change the way it redirects so it doesn't get blocked, now that I'm done with the worst tdy ever.
stract Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 the trend I notice is that forums that have the word "login" in the redirect get blocked, and forums that don't, don't.
DFRESH Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 You may see some strange things when signing in during the weekend. I will be trying to develop a method of logging in that does not get blocked by the comm nazis. If anybody on here works a weekend shift and normally can't log in at work, and doesn't mind helping out, please PM me.
DFRESH Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Friends,I purchased and installed a certificate. Please try to log in on NIPR via:https://www.flyingsquadron.com/forums/
DFRESH Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Any luck? It's working great at my deployed location.
stract Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 I forgot to try today - having to be at work at 0530 on a Monday will do that to you.
M2 Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I'll give it a try once I get back to the office later this week; but I would be very happy if I can finally log into BaseOps via NIPRNET!
Toro Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Works for me for the first time in... I don't know how long
stract Posted August 19, 2015 Author Posted August 19, 2015 Was able to login at work, but was not able to post. Got the dreaded firewall page on several threads when I tried to post.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DFRESH Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 That's really interesting... Did it allow you to use the quick reply window at the bottom of a thread?
stract Posted August 19, 2015 Author Posted August 19, 2015 that's what I was trying to do. When I hit the "Submit Reply" button is when I got the YOUR INTERNET USAGE IS BEING LOGGED message...
DFRESH Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 That's really strange. The way the new board handles that task shouldn't cause an issue like that.
stract Posted August 21, 2015 Author Posted August 21, 2015 I thought at first it was because the thread title had the word "login" in it, but same behavior on other threads as well in the AFTO 781 subforum. I didn't want to try other subforums and accidentally spam the board like what happened last time ;)
