They emailed me on the 8 that I did not get selected for an interview. I expected it from my AFOQT scores. Congrats though to everyone who did get it!

I have had issues in the past with previous packets, where voicemails, emails and letters coming in late or not at all.

2017VTANGBOARD Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Hey all, 158FW in Vermont is currently accepting application for the F35. Applications are due March 31st, see details below! https://www.158fw.ang.af.mil/factsheets/factsheet.asp?id=23168
fipi Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Hey bros. Kind of off topic but when I was looking for a slot, I would cruise this board to see who I was going to send my packet off to next. I got a lot of "thanks but no thanks" and it was discouraging. I know of a buddy who found himself in the same situation and eventually gave up on the dream. I sent packets to numerous units. I interviewed at four units before I got picked up. I also know of a dude, who's now in my class, that interviewed 11 times before getting picked up. Long story short, people who want this enough get picked up. Keep at it and keep plugging away. I'm currently BFM'ing my face off in B-course for the Viper and it's the best job I've ever had. Keep applying and keep pursuing this career! I've gotten so much from this board/site and I want to give back as much as I can. Please feel free to PM me for anything! As was once said to me, "Make them tell you no". 5

Just got a response, and didn't make the cut. Looks like I was right up there in terms of scores so it must have been pretty competitive.

Unsponsored applicants will be considered. Is there any information online about the process of applying for an unsponsored applicant? Maybe I just suck at searching but I cant find any concrete information on the application process itself. Everything says go talk to a recruiter.

They will get you the documents you need to fill out, schedule your AFOQT/TBAS if needed, and get you sent to MEPS for a med screen. There's not a ton to do that doesn't involve a recruiter.
Victor/WhiskeyFlyer Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Anyone know anything about going unsponsored from the active side?
Daredevileng1 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 There's no such thing. U have to leave active duty or pcTrue, along with Palace Front if you are ADSC complete (assuming O not E). 1
Daredevileng1 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 The day has now come and gone. Anyone lucky enough to hear from the 190th?

I've been fortunate enough to score my slot already but this is a great service to the community. My one recommendation to update your script is if you change the "posted" date for the boards to the actual application deadline or at least include that in the homepage table. (That's more importanter info, my 2c) Yes I will do that. I hadn't thought of that but that does seem to be more important than a posting date. Will update as soon as possible! Thanks for the feedback.
crosscontrol Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 The 144FW (194th FS), California Air National Guard in Fresno, will be holding a pilot board on Sunday, May 7th 2017. Daredevileng1 Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 The day has now come and gone. Anyone lucky enough to hear from the 190th?Answering my own question for the benefit of others. As of 0800 this morning the Superintendent of recruiting at the 124 FW still hadn't received names from the 190 FS to contact. 2
Daredevileng1 Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 Maybe they just got busy. Hopefully we all get a call!Agreed, I bet that is exactly the case. Wanted to keep the group in the know so others didn't make same pestering call. Good luck to everyone here who applied.
