2-6-2-2 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Posting for a friend: 2006 11M 135s currently in AETC T-1s. DISAPPROVED at 1338 CST. Any tanker peeps hear otherwise?
ElLoco Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Thank God we're not losing anyone out of the Band. No joke...where do we find such fine young men..
Napoleon_Tanerite Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Typical. The TFSC phones are down. When you get in touch let us know how it went, wish there was an appeal process! It's pretty telling when the AF has 30-40% cuts to make and they have to turn people away because they have too many volunteers.
JS57 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 VSP denied. 2005 11S Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
booze Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I know someone with last name K who got approved. Not sure his AFSC, but he was a T-6 FAIP to C-130s at Pope to KC-135s at SJ guy. Barely got C-130 qual'd before that unit shut down, and now he's barely been qual'd in the KC-135 before his VSP approved... I thought he was screwing with everyone when he said he was approved…good for him, though.

FUSEPLUG Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 This is turning out to be the exact opposite of the FY14 program. Sorry to hear all the denials, guys.
Napoleon_Tanerite Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 The odd thing is the updated VOL matrix still has my YG/AFSC in blue, though the RIF matrix has it grayed out. I'm seeking clarification as to what that means. I'm really disappointed by the denial, but I'm going to keep trying to find ways out without burning bridges (i.e. failing PT tests).
maber101 Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Does anyone know what tax rate the vsp payment will be subject to?
audioflyer Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I have also heard it is just subject to whatever tax bracket it puts you in at the end of the year. Not sure what the real answer is.
