They were doing laps around Hill for a long time. A bro and I were trying to figure out wtf was with the giant orange mark (turns out to be a number) on the door and tail.

A crew successfully dealt with a mechanical problem and landed the aircraft safely?

Looks like a good reason to fire another squadron commander in Cheyenne.

My info may be out of date, but wouldn't that be an all guard crew?

Why? Because it was a MAFFS mission? My info may be dated as well but several AD folks at Cheyenne have been asked to get qualified in MAFFS in the past.

However I don't think that was the point of the post.

Friend of mine is the Load Super there and he's done MAFFS missions. So it's not completely ANG.

They fly mixed ANG/AD crews from both the 187/30AS. There are mostly guard folks, with a few AD thrown in.

I wonder of they got any help from the depot guys there in Salt Lake...I assume yes.

Either way, good on em for putting it down so smoothly. Didn't even have to use the top escape hatch.
