Runr6730 Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 And I still have to pass my damn tail number to get gas! Ooh! Let's get into this debate again!
Spoo Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Callsign OPSEC technique: Get high and never talk to anyone...ever. In my experience, it's been very effective, but YMMV.
Breckey Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Or go low and stay in Class G airspace. That works everywhere except the SFRA around DC. They get mad about that. Ops tested.
busdriver Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 What, are you supposed to change your local training sorties callsigns monthly and used secure and Have Quick on every sortie? GMAFB How about we focus on the dipshits who compromise the Comm's daily in the AOR first... 1.) Not saying that, just that if you use the same callsign everyday for years on unsecure nets, bitching about OPSEC concerning that callsign is silly. There are however units that do all that on every training sortie, overkill in my opinion but to each his own. 2.) No argument
Right Seat Driver Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 And I still have to pass my damn tail number to get gas! Best work-around is look at 2's tail number after the rejoin, and just change a digit or two for lead, 3, and 4. Never have to burn a radio call. I can't promise every tanker dude does that, though.
