stract Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 does anyone know the background story to the 9 AF SII that was just released regarding checklist discipline/not deviating from checklists? I'm assuming there is more to the story...
Breckey Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Did another C-17 forget to put the gear down? 2
SocialD Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Now, when you say checklist...what exactly do you mean? 1
Warrior Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Another example of the numbered AF doing something to help the line guys out?
stract Posted November 15, 2014 Author Posted November 15, 2014 this SII is worded such that there might have been a willful disregard which then resulted in something not good happening. Sorry don't have the exact memo to post, it's loaded in PEX and I'm at home with no access outside a mil network.
Azimuth Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Did another C-17 forget to put the gear down? There's one C-17 Sq in ACC. So probably not.
Breckey Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 There's one C-17 Sq in ACC. So probably not. And I just learned that 9th AF is no longer AFCENT. Shows how long it's been since I've needed to know it.
FUSEPLUG Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Was the phrase, "back to basics" used in the SII summary? I love it when they throw that one around. I've been back to basics at least three times in the last ten years.
Champ Kind Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 SIIs, FCIFs, and sternly-worded emails fix everything. 1
HossHarris Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 What do numbered air forces do for me again? 1
Gravedigger Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 They take the taskers from the MAJCOM and deliver them to the wings. They're people people. They deal with the MAJCOMs so the wings don't have to. Shut em all down. 8
stract Posted November 15, 2014 Author Posted November 15, 2014 they already told you, they deal with the goddamn customers! 3
