Clark Griswold Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Biggest aircraft in history begins construction: Microsoft co-founder provides glimpse of his proposed megaplane that will launch rockets into orbit
olevelo Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I toured this a few months ago during a visit to Scaled Composites. It is ridiculously huge. Pictures just don't do it justice. We also got to fly the sim (no time for all of us to get in the seat though so I just observed). If this works it's going to be awesome.
Tonka Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I get it, it makes $$ sense with our current technology, but their has got to be a better technological advance around the corner. It's like driving a truck while pulling an airplane down the runway because it's cheaper to drive the truck for 6000 feet. If there is driving need to make this financially viable there is a driving need to find a better technology. I'd still go fly it and be happy doing it...
