Hey guys - quick post to share something I think will be of interest here.  I'm a Navy pilot by trade - metal fabricator in my spare time...I've got a small side gig going making custom aviation metal art and novelties and I think you guys will like it.  The bottle openers I make are in the shape of your favorite air frame...if it isn't on my site, I'm capable of making it; just ask!

Thanks for looking and feel free to hit me up with any requests.

A word of caution to the uninitiated: F-15 shaped openers will only work on bottles of Zima and wine coolers.

And the C-5 bottle opener will only work about 20% of the time

I was thinking that same thing about the Hawg but you have to make the opener out of titanium.

If you are prepared to bank-roll the material cost of Titanium, I'll do it...email me!

For consideration as well - we make sweet wall art!

Question on the bottle openers, have you tried anything with rotors? Just curious how they hold up to bending.

The helicopters I have listed all work well...the stainless ones are substantially tougher than CR steel, I doubt you could bend one without maliciously trying!

Thanks for the compliment on the wall art!

Does the CV-22 opener have the power to work on the Colorado beers?

I would imagine so!  I open fat tire with the same design all the time!

It was a jab at the Osprey's lack of high DA hover capability. Half of the posts here are going to be ripping on other aircraft.

Haha!  In hindsight - I get it now....us Navy guys are always working a sea level so you'll have to forgive me!

Warning: The F-35 bottle openers don't actually open any beers, you'll receive it several years late, and it'll cost you $10,431 by the time you get it.

(Just kidding, Planeform)

I made a pretty funny / similar post on the Planeform Facebook page about the F35 opener as well.  " After many blunders, the ‪#‎f35‬ program can at least claim that the aircraft can open a beer, haha! Happy Thursday from Planeform"

Those would make great groomsmen gifts!

That they would...we are getting a 3-axis CNC engraver in about a week and will be able to personalize for such occasions!

Shameless Plug for Planeform and Flanders, they did a bulk order of SICK T-38's and U-2's for the guys at Beale in flat black that came out frickin' sweet.
