Booj Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-airforce-general-idUSKCN0WJ32B "These e-mail exchanges were found to have constituted an unprofessional relationship. The investigation did not uncover any additional misconduct," the Air Force said. The anonymous complaint that triggered the probe alleged that Hesterman also interfered in the military assignments of the female officer's former husband, according to a heavily redacted copy of the investigation report.
skibum Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 The Air Force has an Assistant Vice Chief of Staff? When they start looking to eliminate GO positions I'd start with that one. 4

Fuzz Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Is that like assistant to the regional manager? In all seriousness what does he do/is in charge of?
Duck Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Ha ha. Exactly. Not sure, coffee and back rubs maybe? 1
DUNBAR Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 I wonder if there's a Deputy Assistant Vice Chief of Staff. 1

BattleRattle Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Out of curiosity, did he ever get a retirement ceremony? Is this something that could negatively impact his chances for future employment?

pbar Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 There is a very easy fix for all of this general/flag officer personal misconduct but, sadly, it will never be implemented. If a GO/FO gets cashiered for personal misconduct, the service should lose that GO/FO billet for 3 years. With this, you know that shit would get fixed literally overnight. Screening and selection would instantly double in rigor. Afterall, maintaining GO/FO billets is are among the services' highest priorities... 6
