Patch Display Ideas

We're looking for ways to display a large number of patches on the walls in our new Ops building.

What ideas have you guys seen? The cheaper the better, probably.

I've seen multiple squadrons use a wall covered in felt or something similar the velcro will grab onto.

I've seen this as well.  As long as it's neatly trimmed it looks pretty good.  If you have a hobby store (Hobby Lobby, Michael's, etc) nearby, you should be able to pick some up fairly cheap.

Buy a roll of black felt and some cheap poster frames. Cover the cardboard with the black felt, apply velcroed patches to the felt, put into cheap frame. Hang on wall. I've got 3 dozen + patches in one frame.

Protip for life right here.  Bonus: keeping your felt neatly trimmed helps make your deck look bigger too from what I understand.

Strips of sticky-back Velcro...
