M2 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Gents Looking for a little help in righting a wrong... The Bentwaters Cold War Museum (https://www.bcwm.org.uk/) in the UK was the victim of a theft of two patches recently, and I was hoping someone on here could help replace one of them. It is a 'Got Nukes?' patch with a 'Nuclear Operations' tab at the bottom... Believe it is a AFGSC patch, definitely post-Cold War but at this point that's not the point. The point is some fucktard stole it (they actually moved a close circuit TV camera prior to gabbing it) and this excellent museum, run by volunteers who work hard to preserve the memory of USAF personnel who lived and worked at the Twin Bases, is now without it. Here is a local news report on the theft...https://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/news/cold_war_museum_pleads_for_return_of_missing_exhibits_1_4685327 eBay has the patch without the tab, but I would like to find an exact replacement. Any help in doing so would be gratefully appreciated! Cheers! M2 1
08Dawg Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 I'll get in touch with some Minot bros. I haven't seen it floating around Barksdale, but the northern tier bubbas seem to have them periodically. 1
M2 Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 Thanks, I've been trying to run down some leads a buddy of mine at Offutt suggested. You wouldn't think it would be that tough to replace it, but it's beginning to look that way! Cheers! M2
08Dawg Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 Alright, got one of my Minot brothers looking for it. I'll let you know what he finds.
Mike Honcho Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Why don't you guys just get a high res picture and zap it to someone in Korea? Lots patchy patchy real quick. 1
