This IS nuts though.  Is it not obvious this is the DNC breaking there own tools?  Effectly: "Thanks for getting us momentum, the changing of federal agencies into tools to enforce leftist ideals, and getting rid of trump, now take this scandal and retire old man."  Did anyone else see this coming?

The DNC could not lead themselves out of a wet paper bag. I am just never ever convinced of conspiracies like that. Occam’s razor, Biden dealt with a lot of classified as VP and fucked up having taken some of it out of approved storage locations when he left office.

Take it from a Democrat that if the DNC were strategic and competent and capable of a big conspiracy to push aside a sitting President, we would have done much better in quite a few elections I can remember! 😅

This is true of most large organizations. It’s why I chuckle and sigh whenever I hear someone advocate one of the many popular conspiracy theories that are out there these days. Incompetence & coincidence are FAR more plausible than global cabals.

This may be terrible, but it is what it is. The average American either A) Does not have the time to differentiate between the bullshit and make informed decisions or B) Is too lazy to take the time to analyze and think critically about the information they are presented with which almost never is honest and unbiased.

Or maybe the average person no longer has that capacity which is why voting was restricted to property owners in the past, people who had a legit stake.

I’m not proposing that, but maybe only those who actually pay taxes, or conduct a public service get a say in “our” future. Think Starship Troopers.

Your last point isn’t too far off from what our country was designed to be. We are a constitutional republic, not a democracy after all. But never mind all that, you’re a racist if you support IDs to vote or don’t want deadbeat prisoners voting.

During the last election cycle, something like 60% of Californians were unhappy with how their state was being run but Newsome wins reelection by a 20 point margin. You can't fix stupid.

Kind of too that point though.... would it be worth while to make a law that required political parties with more than x amount in donations fund background checks into candidates and make some of that information public record. Would have prevented Santos for sure.

Some bishops have said that is their policy in their dioceses. Biden receives communion at least weekly in DC and/or Delaware AFAIK and probably did so from the Pope himself in 2021.

Some bishops truly are the uptight, fussy, clerical little princes of their territories and enact some truly anti-catholic policies IMHO. Not very good pastors if that’s a policy hill you’re willing to die on.

I love when people try to redefine Catholicism in a way that suits their political beliefs. The Catholic Church is structured in a very clear manner, and the accepted views of the church are equally clear. You either believe them or you don't, but you don't get to pretend that you're part of the club if you're not willing to abide by the Constitution and bylaws.

It's one thing to claim to be Christian when you don't have mainstream Christian beliefs. But Catholicism is a very specific type of Christianity
