BFM this Posted Friday at 01:23 AM Posted Friday at 01:23 AM Not till midterms at least, and that assumes some (D) gains in the lower chamber.
disgruntledemployee Posted Friday at 03:41 PM Author Posted Friday at 03:41 PM So I'm reading some articles, with the morning Joe, on the recent ICE activities. So far, it's been like a fish warehouse in Jersey and shit like that. 1 article mentioned 1 MS13 dude, a sex assualt guy, and a DUIer. 1 gang banger? One? ICE knew this was coming and should have had a plan, so where's all the headlines on arrests of 100s of MS13, Mex/Central/S. AM gangs, and the likes? Too hard to get the headline? Gotta pick on the dude who's actually doing honest work cutting up your fish vs the cat eaters? Donnie T, please tell me you're doing more than a splash of click bait. If you're going to really do this, do it right. Leave my local restaurant alone, fill the deportion centers with full ink dudes/ettes. I mean isn't there some super ambitious ICE GS15 gunning for SES that could have grand mastered a huge roundup of all the gangs on day 2 of PTPI2? Who's next, that dude that does the song about being born in East LA? (Post Trump Presidential Inauguration 2, a new calendar for these times. Forget Jesus and his BC/AD stuff, this is a biblical second coming).

The real question…why weren’t they deported under Biden? Is it that Biden and the Dems literally didn’t want to remove these horrible people? 1 1 2

uhhello Posted Monday at 07:52 PM Posted Monday at 07:52 PM (edited) To estimate the back pay for a married E-5 service member with one dependent, discharged in October 2021 and reinstated in January 2025, we need to consider the following components: 1. Basic Pay: This is determined by rank and years of service. 2. Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH): Varies based on duty station location, rank, and dependency status. 3. Basic Allowance for Subsistence (BAS): A standard rate provided to all service members. Assumptions: Years of Service: Well assume 6 years of service as of October 2021. Duty Station: Since the location isn’t specified, we’ll use the national average for BAH rates. Basic Pay: Based on the 2021 military pay tables, an E-5 with over 6 years of service earned approximately $3,306.30 per month. BAS: In 2021, the BAS rate for enlisted members was $386.50 per month. BAH: BAH rates vary significantly based on location. For this estimate, well use a national average BAH rate for an E-5 with dependents, which was approximately $1,800 per month in 2021. Total Monthly Compensation: Basic Pay: $3,306.30 BAS: $386.50 BAH: $1,800.00 Total: $5,492.80 per month Back Pay Calculation: The period from October 2021 to January 2025 spans 39 months. Total Back Pay = $5,492.80*39 = $214,219.20 Note: This is a rough estimate. Actual back pay would depend on specific duty station BAH rates, any changes in pay scales over the period, and other potential allowances or deductions. For precise calculations, it™s advisable to consult the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) or a military pay specialist. Edited Monday at 08:10 PM by uhhello 1

Smokin Posted Monday at 11:22 PM Posted Monday at 11:22 PM If the process for this is anything like most of my pay experience in the military, they'll get their first check in about 9 months, but it'll be wrong, so the member will have to spend 100 hours filling out various forms, then a debt will be incurred and they'll get no paycheck at all for a month, then six months and multiple corrected W-2s later it'll finally get fixed. 1 1

Don't forget to throw the VA into the process as well. I would imagine the great majority are drawing some form of disability. Does that get paid back?

Once would have to be withheld.

Smokin Posted yesterday at 03:23 AM Posted yesterday at 03:23 AM Weren't they dishonorably discharged? Didn't think you get disability pay with a dishonorable discharge.

uhhello Posted yesterday at 05:23 AM Posted yesterday at 05:23 AM God damn son. Getting shit done. In a sweeping move, the White House just ordered every federal agency to stop all grants and loans - effective tomorrow at 5pm. White House Office of Management and Budget acting director Matthew Vaeth: "Career appointees have a duty to align Federal spending with Presidential priorities" The pause impacts everything from foreign aid to domestic programs, while the administration reviews where taxpayer money should go. 1

Impoundment. Expect lawsuits to fly and Congress to do nothing.

Dishonorable Discharges/Dismissals can only be given via a General Court Martial. The most likely got General Under Honorable Conditions.

Duly Noted, and Disregarded. 4
