Anyone placing bets on the results of the CA governor recall election?

"You've already voted"

Multiple mail-in ballots received at a single address:

I wonder what the collective sound of Californian patriots' bolt carrier groups slamming home sounds like?

Well, you can count at least two YES votes for recall from our household. Fiancé voted by mail and I went in person. I don’t have any real hope that Newsom will get recalled however.

At the very least, the recall has kept his power in check for the past 6-9 months. I’m kind of afraid what might happen if/when he survives; I would imagine some heavy COVID mandates could be on the way again. I also think the state legislature may move to change the recall rules, which would be a real tragedy as it’s basically the last remaining check on power in what has otherwise become a single party rule state.

Despite the fact that this state has provided me some fantastic opportunities both on and off active duty, I absolutely cannot wait to leave and we will be taking the first legit opportunity that comes along.

Looks like the recall will fail overwhelmingly. Definitely a tale of two Californias.

Separately, it's an interesting test run to see if the GOP tactic of sowing uncertainty and disinformation about election integrity, as a hedge against a potential loss, is viable. Sad to see the future of our democracy wagered like this.

Please don’t vote DNC when you leave.

We have a republic anon, not a democracy. I would imagine now that the State of Jefferson (XX) movement is going to REALLY take off. Same for the greater Idaho project? (I think that’s what it’s called?)

Both of you ^^ I did see some more local news segments in California (like what @torqued posted) talking with attempted voters who say when they arrived in person were told “they” had a already voted by mail. This is consistent with the statements provided in 2020. Suspicious.

Number of Migrants in Del Rio, TX doubles in 24 hours.

What do you do with this?

WTF is going on?

https://welcome.us/about#welcome-council

This week, former officials with the Clinton, Bush, and Obama administrations launched the organization Welcome.us which will work with multinational corporations like Airbnb, Walmart, Starbucks, Instacart, Facebook, Microsoft, and Chobani to provide financial support to Afghans arriving in the U.S. as part of Biden’s massive resettlement operation.

Biden has said he hopes to resettle about 95,000 Afghans across the U.S. over the next 12 months. In a 21-day period from August to September, Biden brought more than 48,000 Afghans to the U.S. for resettlement — a population more than four times that of Jackson, Wyoming.

It's an answer leftists and Neo-conservative Republicans (the same thing) don't want to hear.

Escort them out by physical force, using lethal force if necessary. Without borders, we have no nation. This is, and has been for decades, an intentional invasion of our sovereignty encouraged by the NGOs and politicians (slaves to their masters). Demographic replacement, demoralization, a strain on culture, the economy, and the justice system.

Boris Johnson starts answering questions from the press. Team Biden then removes all press from the room.

The clown show continues in the White House.

But hey, at least the VP has the border under control. Oh wait…

There's that transparency and accountability we were promised...

You actually thought you were going to get that from this administration when you voted for it?

This is ridiculous.

Pretty much.  You know when someone is pandering (like this example), they can can say just about anything to make their base feel good.  And boy does it make me feel good to know we're going to be watching what goes in and what goes out!

Then there's the BoJo/Biden news conference this morning.  Let me paraphrase his 'interaction' with the press: "Were you guys going to ask me a question?  Then get outa here."

The President wants to tax unrealized gains now - Thoughts?

Stupid concept. It’s imaginary money, doesn’t exist until the stock is cashed in. Could be assessed for $50M and then be worth $500 when you have to pay up.

Edit add: they also paint buying and holding of stocks as some evil thing super rich people do. No, that’s just a normal thing people do.

Glad to see prez has the Border Patrols back. The whipping will be the new “hands up don’t shoot “

Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app

“The whipping”

Incredible to me that a flat out fabrication like “the border patrol is whipping black people” can actually spread as accepted fact among mainstream outlets (@arg, not saying you’re that person).

Also, maybe I’ve just been working in the wrong places, but if I was as bad at handling a project I was given as Harris has been at handling the border, I would have been fired and fired real good. Must be nice to have that kind of privilege.

Finally, and I know I posted about it already but I’ll mention it again; if you haven’t seen the video of Biden handlers kicking the press out in the middle of Boris Johnson answering a question, you really should (link below). There is some weird and scary shit happening in our country right now.

If it means more culturally enriching undocumented immigrants here and funding for Israel's IRON DOME then 100% I'm for it and you should be too. These immigrants are coming here to be scientists, leaders, inventors... the BEST the world has to offer are coming here because that's what the U.S.A. is about. Don't even get me started on our GREATEST ally Israel. Our pocketbooks should be given free access to any Israeli. @LowspeedhidragThoughts????

Wow, if you are a BP agent now

Essentially would be like the President saying the military lost the ear in Afghanistan right after the withdrawal.
