boxster02 Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Repost from another forum: Background: USMC AH-1W driver looking to go ANG FW fighters. I know the FWQ course that was previously designed for Army RW guys without joint-FW primary experiences (t-6/34c) has gone away. Looking to see in more recent years (FWQ seemed to die around 2013) if anyone on here put in for a rated-slot, went to the ARB, and were given a specific pathway. Thanks.
GOGUARD43 Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Hey man, I am a guard UH60 driver trying to switch the the ANG for fighters as well. I spoke to AFPC a month ago to see what active duty options they had, and they said I would only have the oppourtunity to maybe be selected as a rotor guy in the Air Force. Given that they are apparently over strength currently...even that's a long shot. I specifically asked if I could be placed at the beginning of UPT and he said due to budget constraits that is not possible. Anyway, I am in the process applying to ANG spots and this forum is a great resource. PM me if you have any other questions. Good luck!
