Should Michael Flynn lose his status as a 3-star general

This is clearly a partisan hit piece.  The "ethics lawyer" "supported Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton"  If his support of Clinton was strong enough to be mentioned in an article, his "ethics" view is probably tainted.  Oh the irony.

Except the actual Constitution says "No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state."

He retired from the military, left the DIA in 2014, and was paid by a Russian owned news agency to make a speech in 2015.  I would be interested how anyone can make the mental leap that a military retiree, regardless of rank is "holding any office of profit or trust".  

Would be interesting to see the same scrutiny applied to senior Democratic officials (*cough* Clinton) who are basically in the same 'retired' status after serving a single day in Congress.  Based on this line of logic, no retired military pilot can fly for a foreign owned airline or even work for a company that is partially owned by a government.  The Pandora's box this opens would be absurd.

He served honorably as a 3 star and retired. All the questionable activity came after he retired. I'm not a fan of him, but he should not lose his 3 star status. Like him or not, he's earned that title!

About things that "allegedly" happened while he was still on active duty. Not the case with Flynn, at least from what we know so far.

Really doesn't matter if he did it on AD or not.  As long as he's drawing retirement, Uncle Sugar can recall him back, and punish him via the UCMJ per 10 U.S. Code § 80.  The Marines just did that to a retired Gunnery Sergeant who committed his crimes years after retiring.  He's now in prison and will be getting a Dishonorable Discharge.

Really doesn't matter if he did it on AD or not.  As long as he's drawing retirement, Uncle Sugar can recall him back, and punish him via the UCMJ per 10 U.S. Code § 80.  The Marines just did that to a retired Gunnery Sergeant who committed his crimes years after retiring.  He's now in prison and will be getting a Dishonorable Discharge.

Didn't say it wasn't possible, only drawing a distinction between Flynn and Lichte due to their status at the time of their "misconduct."
