why wouldn't folks want to jump on that? Being stuck at a certain rank or why exactly do you say that? (just wondering)

It's simply a matter of not enough qualified people for the available positions. Most agr positions have very specific requirements listed as mandatory. There are also "desired" qualifications as well.

If already AGR, it is likely to be a rank issue. If I'm looking for an opportunity for promotion, but my Wing doesn't have a position. I would have to go somewhere else if I want to get promoted.

Got it. That makes sense, i'm stuck with rank as an enlisted AGR hence I was wondering if that was the main reason why slots would be hard to fill

Rank is probably only a piece of it. Some of it is the current state of airline hiring. Part of it may be what the job entails. Hard to tell sometimes.

Makes sense now. I forgot about the airlines side of the issue. I just hope that wherever i'm hired I am able to obtain an AGR slot again, or at least a full-time slot.
