What happens to a Brig Gen who can't do their job anymore? Do they just stay home until a suitable position is found for them?

The reason why GO’s gets caught with IG stuff is because by law they have to be investigated by the Service Secretary IG/DOD IG. It’s no so easily swept under the rug by a Wing/NAF/MAJCOM IG.

Title of thread says "Commanders," not AF Commanders specifically. Don't know about you, but I went through flight training with Marines, Navy, and AF.
