They have been untouchable (STS) for the last 4 years and thought that immunity would continue indefinitely.

I’ve heard it several times in my career…”that commander insignia is a pledge pin.” I think we all owe it to the nation to critically analyze and not take orders like a stormtrooper would. At the same time…bucking your CinC isn’t conducive to good order and discipline. Placating the indig clearly isn’t part of this admins agenda. Not sure why she thought it would end well.

Maybe she hated being at Thule, what is with female officers who think they don't need to follow orders of the POTUS? Is the whole female officer corps suffering from TDS.

Checks. Many of them got shuffled through the ranks over the last decade, now that their sex won’t carry them as far some of them are getting upset. Same with African Americans. I would say this is the case with any current Trump policy. When you’ve gone so far off course as a nation (taxes, civilian workforce, DEI, transgenders, foreign aid, etc.), an abrupt bank back to centerline is going to seem extreme to those who benefit from said insane policies when all that’s happening is a course correction back to normalcy.

Another female officer with TDS, still in her job. Or she is not happy when SecDef  changing physical fitness standards to both sexes the same. Colonel Sheyla Baez Ramirez of Fort McCoy Faces Scrutiny Over Refusal to Display Presidential Portraits | DeepNewz US Gov Appointments

I saw this this morning.  I have to believe that there's more to the story than this blatant a "F U" to the chain of command.

More likely, somebody has it out for COL Truckasaurus, the pics weren't in stock when said photo was taken, somebody removed them and then took the pic, etc, etc, etc, or some other more believable scenario.

If not, she's likely got a new job coming as Miley's fitness coach...

Yeah I've never seen a commander slip in the reason for the dismissal like that.

Ok, maybe my reading comprehension is falling short, but all I’m seeing is “loss of trust and confidence” boilerplate.

Quick talk on?

"AFSOC is committed to the welfare of our Airmen and maintaining good order and discipline which is necessary to preserve the trust placed in us to execute our critical global missions."

This is the UCMJ Article that covers fraternization. Similar verbiage is in the service-specific regulations

§934. Art. 134. General article

Though not specifically mentioned in this chapter, all disorders and neglects to the prejudice of good order and discipline in the armed forces, all conduct of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces, and crimes and offenses not capital, of which persons subject to this chapter may be guilty, shall be taken cognizance of by a general, special, or summary court-martial, according to the nature and degree of the offense, and shall be punished at the discretion of that court. As used in the preceding sentence, the term "crimes and offenses not capital" includes any conduct engaged in outside the United States, as defined in section 5 of title 18, that would constitute a crime or offense not capital if the conduct had been engaged in within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States, as defined in section 7 of title 18.

More to it, probably. It's not like the Army knew who was going to be SecDef 6 months ago, or that the new Trump pic is approved by him as he didn't like his portrait.  Probably plenty of offices showing a smiley face in lieu of.

As for the COL, I want all Army women to look like they could knock you out at the bar.

Here's another.

https://www.military.com/daily-news/2025/04/16/air-force-colonel-gets-21-days-jail-after-admitting-relationship-staff-sergeant.html

"Col. Christopher Meeker, the former commander of Wright-Patterson's 88th Air Base Wing, was sentenced Tuesday evening after entering a guilty plea to violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, including Article 90, willfully disobeying a superior commissioned officer, and Article 134, fraternization."

In other words, he was told to stay away but just couldn't do it.  Her name must have been "Sunshine."

Side note, it's good to see that Punk is climbing the command ladder, 18AF now, probably a 4 star job in the future.

As a Nav in AMC? Going to be hard (sts) with all of the -17 and now -46 golden children. Looks like Punk was at Pope when the Fun Burglar was fired as Wing King.

MacDonald was canned in 2009; Bolton left in 2006...

And I would offer there's a better-than-at-any-point-in-recent-history chance that the last AMC 4-star is in the seat right now. We will see what SecPete & 47' do with the # of stars in the stack...

Apparently not something else.

How are you suspended from command and it not be "misconduct?"
