Not a firing but it sounds like the military lost a good one this time around.
Col. Bode of 959th Med Ops Squadron, JBSA resigns the day before change of command stating in an official letter "leaders throughout the chain of command were aware and did nothing to stop illegal, immoral and unethical actions."

Is in normal to make fluff videos for new commanders?  I don't know the guy but it seems a bit weird to make a video praising what a good commander you're going to be.

So there's quite a bit on amn/nco/snco about this one I just noticed. Apparently this is related to a security incident 1-2 months ago and the wings reaction to it. If I recall, it's related to amn/nco/snco publishing some flight line footage of a damaged aircraft but I can't find the complete post trail.

It’s hard to tell if the amn/nco/snco page is for or against the Col, but it’s a fun read regardless.

Seems like a standard PA video where they probably think they nailed it while everyone else cringes. I wouldn’t put too much of it on him. Too bad to hear, second firing down there this year.

I don't like chucking spears at people I don't know.   

I can't imagine it's a good time to be a commander.  At least we had deployments to escape the queep. Too many people hanging around the squadron can't be that much fun.

Which deployments did you go where you were able to escape the queep? I want to go on those..

Go forward enough and you can espcape it for the most part.  Just have to be somewhere bad enough that nobody wants to come "visit".

Rank/power doesn’t change someone, it exposes them. If they are toxic as an O-6 then they were toxic before, it’s just no one noticed.

I think it's far more common that these assholes are toxic way back as captains. 

It's rare that someone's entire personality changes when they are put in a position of power. Rather, they no longer have to hide the toxicity from they're peers/bosses.
