Can we chance the title of this thread to “HarleyQuinn Hates Elon Musk” just so the point is clear for everyone?

FFS man, we get it...fill out a hurt feelings report and keep an extra on hand just in case. If you hate Elon Musk so much, @ him on twitter for a while, I doubt he browses these forums.

You can just not read the thread too. There is more to life on a Saturday than you  complaining about a thread some dudes like and some may hate. It's in the squadron bar section for a reason. You did post a picture of Space X rockets landing just a page back. Yet you keep coming back to the thread. Does my posts trigger you? How about you load up on your metamucil and log out of the forum for a bit?

If you think telling someone to drink a glass of metamucil is a personal attack then you got me.  Calling a rescuer of the Thai teenagers a pedo though is on an entirely different level wouldn't you agree?

thinking of buying a new Model 3 to take adv. of tax credit. need the car to be a airport/commuter car. those of you that have teslas can you give me a quick pro/con? anything you wish you knew before purchasing one?

 

turns out there's a income limit to the tax credit. 😕

When extremely cold or hot, expect 60% battery range/duration. And greatly increased charging times when cold

All depends on where you live and what your work schedule is like.  Cargo long-haul co-worker tried it and got bit.  He got stuck out a spare week (gone three weeks in winter) and came back to dead car.  I don't know what charge level he left it at though.  It would seem that they don't do so well in harsh environs, but that's 100% hearsay.  I'll say this: I haven't seen an EV in our long-term parking at SDF.  I'm sure they're there, I just haven't seen one.

Are you getting it because you’re getting a new car anyways or is it because you want a more efficient commuter car while you use the “gas guzzler” when required? If it’s the latter, you should acknowledge the break even ROI is a LONG ways into the future and likely the whole idea makes zero logical sense if based on that line of thinking.

Also, they are shit in cold weather…unless you’re doing short in town trips where you’re not leaving it parked for 1+ days. Not a factor if you live somewhere temperate.

getting a new car anyways. commuting <75 nm to a reserve gig and wanna also use it as an airport car. live in the south.
