UFT age limit now 33 without ETP

Saw this on Reddit. If I'm interpreting it correctly you no longer need an ETP if you are under 33 and 8 years TFCS

Are you AD?  Civilian?  There's a lot that goes into this

I am a civilian, but I have a professional degree so I hear I can enter as an officer which may help with the waiver process. I have a PPL.

All pilots enter as officers.  Are you talking about COT?

Hope it’s alright if I bump this old thread. I’ve read multiple different comments on here, Facebook groups, Reddit, etc. that the new age policy does NOT apply to civilians. Others say it does and is a blanket policy for everyone, civilians included. Can anyone clarify, or provide any sources or additional information?

Not 100% sure, have you tried looking through the AFI? (36-2105 I think)

The most recent one I can find is dated 25 May 2018, and it still says 30 is the limit for UPT.

I don't have an official AFI or document reference off hand, but the airforce.com website says 33. That seems pretty conclusive.

When I checked this about a month ago it still said 29, so glad you chimed in with this. I agree that’s pretty definitive, thank you!
