Snuggie Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Search didn’t pull anything up so mods please delete if this has been covered previously. I’m a AD pilot starting to apply for ANG flying opportunities. One of the units I’m applying to ask for a cover letter. Besides highlighting my AD experience and my ties to the local area is there something else I should include? I realize this is a small part of the whole process but I don’t want to make an unforced error.
BigCat Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 I have received some feedback on my letter, I think along with what you mentioned, you also want to get across who you are as a person. If you can write the letter in a way that shows your personality without describing it, I think you would be good.
MooseAg03 Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Mine just recapped that I was from the local area, went to college there, and then a bit about my career thus far. I played up the RPA experience that would apply to the guard job. Give them a good reason why you want to be there and what it will mean to you to join that particular unit. It worked for me.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
