TPate918 Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 I work in the healthcare field and my last TB skin test was positive, I went through all of the appropriate xrays and I am completely clear. I have never had any signs or symptoms. Is this going to be an issue at a physical? And do I need to do the Prophylactic treatment regimen? Thanks in advance for anyone that can help out. Taylor
Cody Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 I had the TB shot/vaccine as a child and therefore pop positive on the skin test. Tell them that before they test you! It will freak them out if you come back positive. All they do is annotate that in your records and give you a chest x-ray. It's not a big deal at all. At my FC1, all they did was pull me to the side, x-ray me, and send me on my way. Good luck!
TPate918 Posted February 2, 2021 Author Posted February 2, 2021 Thanks a ton for the info. I was having a hard time finding anything on it and it was causing some concern.
