nunya Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 I bet they weren't current for Green Dot. See what happens! Bystanders, all of them! 2
FLEA Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 Two VERY similar incidents on the same day, on opposite sides of the world, is bizarre to me: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.aviation24.be/airlines/longtail-aviation/boeing-747-loses-parts-after-take-off-from-maastricht-diverts-to-liege-two-people-injured/amp/

pawnman Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 Guess my Boeing stock is about to take another hit. 1

JimNtexas Posted February 21, 2021 Posted February 21, 2021 What motors did these two airplanes have?

If you haven’t heard these LiveATC recordings before...they are usually truncated and the transcripts aren’t real time. Not saying that’s true of this one, but helps when trying to build the mental framework for timing and sequence of events.

I think you're talking about the flight crew, but I've seen comments on Facebook links to this article where people are scolding the individuals on the ground where the pieces fell for not having masks on. 🤦♂️

But yes my joke was directed at the crew. 4 hours ago, JBueno said: People gonna people. Karen's gonna Karen.

SurelySerious Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 P&W statement that they’re working to revise inspection intervals for PW4000 engines. I bet. Must have missed when United Technologies merged into Raytheon.
SurelySerious Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 United grounds PW4000 powered 777s temporarily.
HuggyU2 Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 (edited) I'm brand new to the 777, and the F/O on this flight out of Denver was on both of my international IOE trips a while back. Absolutely stellar airline pilot and a good shit. I hope he gets the accolades he deserves. Edited February 23, 2021 by HuggyU2 6
