Tank Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Thread dedicated to random finds on Google Earth. This is a MiG-23 just outside Baker, FL in the Florida Panhandle north of Eglin at a steel junkyard.
nunya Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 I found BQZip’s mom on a corner in the Bronx but I couldn’t zoom out far enough for a screenshot. 1 8

bfargin Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 This might have been posted here in BO previously. This is one of my favorites google finds near Hooks, TX outside of Texarkana. F-111 at an Army Navy surplus store. 2
bfargin Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 Heres a 747 at a park near Jakarta Indonesia. I found this when I was doing searches for aircraft used as housing or restaurants. I wanted to buy an old plane and convert it into a guest house. The logistics of getting it to my farm in TN was going to be challenging (read very expensive). 1
Prozac Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 Boomer being escorted out of Hood Canal West of Seattle. 3
SocialD Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 (edited) Unfortunately this photo was taken when the leaves were still on, otherwise you'd see a bunch more planes. Used to fly over this all the time in college. I'm fairly certain there was part of a B-36 fuselage there in the early 2000s. The Soplata Airplane Sanctuary. More Pics. HerkPerfMan Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 8 Hercs embargoed at the LM Marietta plant. Built for Libya back in 80s and never delivered. 0 hours, but may need new tires. Not sure of the story on the P-3 and or the L-1011... 2 1

Google adjusts the foliage depending on the time of year. You'll probably get a better view in Dec. 1
