@VMFA187

Your boy Norvell got so mad after the game he refused to shake Napier's hand.

The Gators were not exactly being stellar members of the community.  And for the record, I abhor when Miami acts like this.  My rule as a player and a coach was act like you've been there before, celebrate but don't embarrass yourself, your team and your family.

We don't forget, and if FSU doesnt like it, then win!

You know what they are doing there right?  Not saying it is right but FSU has a long tradition with the sod cemetery for designated big games.  Perhaps it is disrespectful but nothing like purposely scraping the opponents logo off the field.

After the nonsense of this past weekend in several big rivalry games, that included multiple big fights and culminated with the police having to pepper spray players and fans to end the brawl, it is just a matter of time before someone takes it too far and gets really hurt.

I know exactly what they are doing, and am well familiar with their "sod cemetery" (that "tradition" is even older than I am, and was started by some guy named Dean Coyle Moore [no relation!!]).

The point is FSU feels it's OK to do this when they win, but whine like crazy when it's done to them.  It's pure hypocrisy!

FSU should have left the field after the post-game handshakes (which Norvell eventually did but only after looking like a giant crybaby!) and let the Gators relish in their victory!

After Florida State's victory over Florida in Gainesville last year, tensions escalated but it didn't result in a full-scale attack.  There were some heated exchanges between players, but it didn't result in a significant altercation!

Of course, I expect nothing less from this clown!

Note Norvell had a lot less L's in his name back then! 🤣🤣 🤣

I am sure the upcoming flood of player transfers is also part of the frustration (it's only going to get worse on 9 December)...

Plus Norvell's huge $65 million contract buyout!!   He signed a 10-year contract extension worth over $84 million in January 2024, then went 2-10!

I know you have a deep hatred for UF football, but you cannot blame what happened in Tallahassee on the Gators!

I do NOT have a deep hatred of the Gators...I was recruited to play there and that was my #3 choice.  I have a lot of great friends (including you), who went there and I do like the school.

Both teams were at fault...I know you don't see that.

I do see it, but to be honest I am not sure a post-game celebration on an opponent's field justifies a physical altercation on anyone's part!

At first I wasn't happy about it, then I figured if FSU wants to steal sod from the end zone after a road victory, then they should expect (and extend) the same when they are the losers at home!

Trust me, as a Gator I know losing sucks as I've had much more than my fair share of it!

I also see they hypocrisy of FSU getting upset when UF did the exact same thing they did in the Swamp last year!

No, we weren't happy when that happened; and yes, it did motivate us to "return the favor!"

So, they need to admit they pretty much brought this on themselves.

The saddest part of all was to see that the Seminoles had so much fight left in them when it would have been better applied during the game!

Yes, probably the worst season in our history.

I’m happy with our OC and DC hires. I hope it works out and am glad this season is over and we can focus on moving forward.

All this flag planting shit has gotten out of hand.  NCAA says fines and is so limp dick.  That's just money that comes from other people... they'll get more.

I say no more flag shit, no more desecration of another team's field.  Do it and you lose the scholarship, 1 year suspension of those involved to include coaches, and banned from national championship playoffs/Bowl games or other dire consequences that affect individuals and the team.  Yes, if that was the rule today, both MI and OH St would be sitting out, players and coaches suspended.  If you can't control your players, go back to Pop Warner.

I hope SMU loses close to Clemson so this whole Conference Championship issue gets dealt with.

My money says half of the playoff teams are going to be from the SEC…At least they should be.

How much money did you lose?

Don’t worry, I’m going to get it all back when Boise State wins the Natty!  That’s what I tell my wife anyway; sports betting is a legitimate way to plan for retirement.

So, did they they get it right?

Alabama didn't get in so yes they got it right.  SMU should not be in, they will get destroyed.  Oregon looks stout.

Man, this is getting hard to want to continue paying attention to. Our 5* FR QB (who didn't show a thing this year) just said he intends to enter the portal.

This is NFL Lite with zero restrictions. I wish we had a bit more stability and miss how CFB was before this free for all.

Also, get off my lawn!

Yup, two extremes met now.  Find a middle ground.

Edit to add: What an entitled twat.

Just need to rip the band aid off and call college football what it is rapidly becoming at this point: semi-pro/minor league football.

I’ve always found it interesting how we’ve developed sports hand in hand with schools. In the overwhelming majority of the world, sports are tied to the community clubs. Kids grown up within the local clubs, eventually reaching an age where they can be signed by pro clubs. It was wild to me that my neighbor’s 7 year old kid in the UK was in the youth development program for a premier league club.
