I saw a non-parody account (espn? SI? Don’t remember at this point) say how epic their last two seasons have been with a 13-12 record (unironically) not winning against any team of substance, and this was similar to my initial reaction. Guess the goal is money and social media clout, not winning.

They beat TCU last year, who had played in the Natty the previous season. People don't realize that Colorado won one game the year before Prime showed up.

They didn’t play the team that went to the playoffs. They beat next year’s roster. They’re mediocre and have the results to prove it.

They were still ranked #17 when CU beat them. I'm not saying Prime isn't corny, I live an hour from Boulder and have to deal with him in the local media all the time. But to take CU from one win to being ranked and a Heisman winner within two years is a big feat. Do you know how many ranked teams Boise State beaten in the two seasons? One, UNLV this year. Jeanty ran wild over powerhouses like Georgia Southern and MWC juggernauts like Wyoming and Utah State, so I have no idea how he didn't win the Heisman.

He did turn the program around but they are not the powerhouse he professes the, to be.  He made a stink about not being in the playoff and got stomped by BYU in the Alamo Bowl.

With regard to the Heisman...that was all hype.  Is Travis Hunter a good player, yes.  However his number are mediocre.  he can thank the Coach Prime Hype machine for his trophy.

Travis Hunter

  • Offense: 92 catches, 1,152 yards, 14 touchdowns; two carries, five yards, one touchdown
  • Defense: 31 tackles, 11 pass breakups, four interceptions, one forced fumble

Ashton Jeanty

  • Rushing: 344 carries, 2,497 yards, 29 touchdowns, 7.3 yards per carry
  • Receiving: 20 catches, 116 yards, one touchdown

Dillon Gabriel

  • Passing: 297 of 406 passing (73.2%), 3,558 yards, 8.8 yards per attempt, 28 touchdowns, six interceptions
  • Rushing: 63 carries,192 yards, seven touchdowns

Cam Ward

  • Passing: 293 of 435 passing (67.4%), 4,123 yards, 9.5 yards per attempt, 36 touchdowns, seven interceptions
  • Rushing: 58 carries, 196 yards, four touchdowns
  • Receiving: One catch, 7 yards, one touchdown

With the exception of interceptions, Hunter had better stats than Charles Woodson the year he won the Heisman.

Understood, but he had worse stats than the other three finalist THIS year.

That’s subjective. How were Jeanty defensive stats? Didn’t Hunter have more receiving yards and TDs than Jeanty? That’s the main point, more people with votes weighted being good, not great, on both sides of the ball compared to being great on one side.

Not subjective, look at the stats I posted above.  Other finalists didn't just exceed his stats, they set ALL TIME RECORDS.  Purely a product of Coach Prime.  Dude will not play both ways in the NFL.

I did look at the stats. It’s subjective because you and I, like the Heisman voters, use a personal weighing of information (e.g., stats, conference, team record, etc.). More voters saw it from my opinion than yours.

Shedeur Sanders had 600 more passing yards, higher completion percentage (74.0% v. 73.2%), and nine more passing TDs (37 v. 28) than Dillion Gabriel this year, but yet wasn’t nominated for the Heisman. That’s also the Prime Effect.

Hunter will probably be a WR in the NFL. Easy way to figure that is to compare one of the top WR Justin Jefferson’s contract extension at $140M/four years to the top CB in the NFL Pat Surtain II contract extension at $96M/four years. They might have him come in once in awhile in man coverage against a smaller WR, but he’ll probably be more of a slot WR due to his size.

Prime was here in SA for the Alamo Bowl.  I still can't figure out why the guy gets so much positive attention, he is and always has been a huge douche nozzle...

How'd Jeanty do when he wasn't playing plumbers and farmers of the MWC? He had more fumbles than TDs. Boise State made sure to hand him the ball in the gun on 3rd and 12s so he could eek past 100 yards in garbage time with 3.5 yards per carry.

Far better than when Hunter faced the only worthwhile team Colorado ever played. Keep that Prime hardon.

He had four receptions for 106 yards (26.5 yard average) and one TD against BYU. Are you saying that’s bad?

It’s not Heisman material, especially when he couldn’t get his team anywhere close to winning from either side of the ball. Not a competitive game, whatsoever at any point. Wasn’t that part of his “talent”? Two way player? Your massive erection for Colorado and Prime are seriously clouding your view.
