Techsan Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 The A/C in the 21 is pretty much non-existent. The back of the jet is always cold, however up in the business end its like a magnifying glass. As far as airflow goes...air flows from the rear to the outflow valve on the copilots side...anytime the Gen. rips arse, we are lucky enough to smell it...well at least the Co smells it.
LJ Driver Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 The T2 has an awesome AC. Actually we have two of them but it isn't for crew comfort, it's for the avionics. Figures that the engineers don't really care much about the crew dogs, just the electron-carrying shizzle that costs big bucks to fix...
Guest Xtndr50boom Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 LJ, curiosity, do you guys actually feel it, or does it just flow into the avionics bay?
zrooster99 Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 'Traditional' (not J) Herc guys do not understand this mysterious concept of "air conditioning" to which you reference...Sure you do, open the swing window, you're GTG.

I'll take my chances with the yogurt... In all seriousness, best of luck with the testing! Cheers, Hydro EDIT: definite spelling buffoonery [ 09. March 2006, 23:50: Message edited by: Hydro130 ]

Both of them blow mostly for the avionics, but the cockpit A/C outlets blow pretty hard (yeah!). It can get chilly in there if it's up full blast.
ACCBoomer Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Curiously enough, the T-38 is the other way around. Studs in the FCP can drop ass with abandon, and I won't be the wiser from the RCP. Now,Now thats funny! Nothing like a good "howdy" to wake the crew up! [ 11. March 2006, 16:46: Message edited by: 509thBoom ]

Now, when I drop ass in the RCP (as I FREQUENTLY do in the morning sorties...part of my routine), it's VERY apparent in the FCP. Go figure. I guess I'm just lucky to be flyin the '38.
