Recently started collecting UPT class patches from students we support here at Vance. Would love to see how creative they get. Here is 24-05.

Haha!  More of a combination of no artists and a bit of ambivalence. 
The other one we had was entirely too sexual, even for 1985.

On that note, I'll post the patch from my daughter's class at CBM. 
They had "Blaze Studs" on it originally, but that was rejected by the Vice Commander of Fun for who knows what reason.  He's now the CC of Holloman.  Sorry, HMN folks

My friend’s class. Made it through PA, but then people started wearing them sideways.

I'm good friends with the creator of that site, Jim is a great guy. He loves anything UPT related. I've sent him a few from Vance.

I was at Vance during this time period.  

 

My class was all male.  We made a patch that had a bunch of hot dogs at a party and it said (UPT, it's a party) like sausage party.  For our solo tank, we painted a bunch of hotdogs on it.  We also put bags of hotdogs in the solo tank. We had to dive in and pull a dog out with your mouth.  This lasted about a week.  They made us repaint the solo tank, remove the hotdogs from the water and then they banned our patch.  I never got to wear a class patch at Vance as I went to Rucker before my new fixed wing class patch was approved.

They even made a koozie.

Rucker class photo.  There is one these hanging on the wall at the 23rd, Rucker; for almost every class that has graduated.  Three wolve moon!!!!

Bonus:  I got this one in 2003 when I bummed rides across the active runway, drunk as fuck and in uniform.  The guy driving the van gave it to me (sts).  I walked up to the marshsaller as he was getting ready to taxi out an airbus that was flying for the airshow.  RAF Fairford.   SrA Biff.

There are 212 pages on this website.  It starts by base, then by Wing & Squadron and then classes as far back as the 60's.  Each page has great info and there are over 12,000 patches posted

Early-to-mid 2000's CAFB had some classic patches!

Got the class 12-05 patch from Vance, and the 12-04 and 05 combined Hammer flight patch as well from my time going through.
