I still have to go through Wright Patt, I wonder if that's the hold up for some of us who haven't gotten dates yet. I have a full stamped FC1. I skipped WPAFB because I did it when I commissioned 8 years ago. lol. 1 1

I went to Wright Patt for my FC1 so I did all the additional testing.

With how slow they have been being, I wouldn't be surprised to get dates on the 31st, lol Edited Friday at 10:28 PM by jorfy

Apparently Laughlin is moving to IPT format this summer and Vance in the fall… but that is when people would in process at those bases from what I’ve been told. IPT is about 5 months long, so that would put the first T-6 IPT class at Laughlin starting around Jan 2026 and April-ish for Vance. There will certainly be classes starting between now and then following the old syllabus, so that leads me to believe quite a few of us will get the old syllabus. Thoughts? 1

Since Columbus is already doing IPT would switching Laughlin and Vance over to the new IPT syllabus require that much overhead? I'm not sure how backed up or not IPT currently is but I wonder if they will add new locations for IPT to absorb the load a bit. I personally put Vance as my #1 UPT base and I'm hoping I get Vance and a class start date before they switch over cause I really would rather do the legacy T-6 syllabus vs the new IPT syllabus.

Because you already have your PPL, maybe you got lucky and snagged a spot in one of the final "legacy" T6 classes. ^ See my last, if you don't get a start date that's earlier than July / October you'll just have to do IPT. Gen Leard made an offhand comment during the above visit that "almost 100%" of FY2025 trainees will do IPT, and that maybe a few would "sneak in" on the legacy T6 syllabus.
