disgruntledemployee Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I really do think a lot of people will envision this meme with just about every pick. Post your suggestions, post your thoughts of his picks. For fun, who will he pick for Sec Def, Sec State, FBI. Go!

Would not be surprised to see him bring Chris Miller back to be the SECDEF. FBI won't change unless he fires Wray, he still has seven years left on his term...that being said he does have a propensity to fire people and Wray has been part of the broken FBI machine. 1

Hope he fires Wray and appoints Mike Flynn. That place needs a deep cleaning. A political & unaccountable DOJ/FBI is the greatest internal threat we face, a solution must be prioritized. i don't he'll bring in Halley unless he's certain she wouldn't secretly work against him. Which she might. I'm guessing Grenell for Sec State & Whitaker for AG. 1

But the FBI needs somebody with executive experience and a passionate desire to change that place for the better. Which means ruthless destruction of sacred cows.
GrndPndr Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Foregone conclusion, the Cabinet will be replaced on day one.. I only hope the hundreds of "oddballs" present in other appointed jobs will be broomed out on day as well. 1 1
gearhog Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Secretary of Agriculture: Thomas Massie. Great news. https://x.com/_Regenaissance/status/1854238840963428588

ViperMan Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Yeah I think Nicki is a bit too "machine." I don't follow her closely, but that is my impression / read.
BashiChuni Posted November 7 Posted November 7 (edited) vivek sec state flynn cia tulsi sec def habba AG (trumps attorney, plus shes fucking hot) Edited November 7 by BashiChuni
HeloDude Posted November 7 Posted November 7 The worst thing Trump can do is put in people because others want them in and/or need to be rewarded. This is how you get Mayor Pete as Transportation Secretary. Trump made this mistake in his first term and he told Rogan he won’t do it again. So no, Haley should definitely not be in his campaign…again. Trump needs to put people in his cabinet that he can trust and that he truly believes can lead and solve problems….and definitely not anybody from the DC ruling class. 1 4
ViperMan Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Cotton. Massie. Paul (Ron or Rand). Gowdy. Beyond that I'm not sure. Positions: I don't care. We just need authentic people in office now. We have to get away from the longhouse and bureaucracy. 2

disgruntledemployee Posted November 7 Author Posted November 7 I agree that everyone in any pres appointed position should get a few book boxes taped up. I'm looking at you, Mr FBI. House/Senate Rs for cabinet will likely only come from R Gov states so as not to change the balance of Congress. I can see a potential for The Don to attempt to appoint a D from the House as a way to tip the balance, and then fire em 6 months in. As Adm Akbar would said, "It's a trap." I don't expect peeps like Ramaswamy, Haley, or Christie to get a role as they were competetors and will always be seen as such. I expect clowns like Heatmizer and BlowBert to stay where they are to keep clownin. While the Project whatever might be shelved, the idea will likely see implementation but with different names.

tac airlifter Posted November 7 Posted November 7 1 hour ago, ClearedHot said: Because she ran against him? No, he appears not to bear ill-will against those he competes with. It's strange to attempt deciphering his actions, but we've seen him shit talk Cruz, Vivek, DeSantis and others then turn around and work with them seemingly without any grudge. His turnabout regarding rhetoric on Kemp is noteworthy. He's tough to figure, best I can guess he doesn't take things personally if you seem useful. i think he won't use her because he doesn't need to, got burned by insiders last time & places her in the same category as Pence who wasn't a loyal ally. But to answer your question, I wouldn't trust her because she appears to place personal ambition over team cohesion and mission accomplishment. What do you like about her?

She is reasoned and even keeled. When she ran against him she was VERY careful not to trash him. Instead, her main tag line was Chaos follows him, which is nuanced enough not to insult him. All the GOP folks are high-fiving thinking they have a giant mandate but things always go wrong and many of them are more self-serving than Nikki Haley, when jobs and other cuts start to impact individual districts blood will be shed. Think back to 2016-2018...they had Trump, the House and the Senate and they still could not get some big things signed into law. Aside from sealing the border there has to be some legislation to address the situation, that will take compromise. There is also the pesky national debt...Trump campaigned on keeping taxes low, not taxing tips, not taxing overtime...those things add up. I hope he follows up with Elon and cuts the size of the Fed Govt....but again that will take compromise. 1
StoleIt Posted November 7 Posted November 7 I would love Rand Paul as Sec Tres. But I don't think Tres can really solve our national debt issues...that comes down the Senate and House passing pork filled ridiculous budgets. What are the con's of taking a sitting Republican Senator and making them a cabinet Secretary? Is there some worry about losing that seat in a reelection? 1

You need a Republican governor to replace them with another Republican. And if they were getting elected based on name recognition only, the seat can flip in the next election. See Joe Manchin.
