According to U.S. Central Command; a Friendly-Fire Incident occurred earlier tonight over the Red Sea, with a U.S. Navy F/A-18F “Super Hornet” from the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) being Accidentally Shot-Down by the Ticonderoga-Class Guided-Missile Cruiser, USS Gettysburg (CG-64). Both Pilots were able to Safely Eject over the Water, and have since been Rescued; with one of the Pilots suffering Minor Injuries.

The Admiral is going to have some butts, and a lot of them.

Instantly remembered this story.

So many questions. Were they able to get visual on the missile? Did they just eject when they heard the warning, in an time that they had no expectation taking fire? Did the missile ship broadcast to bail out over guard? 😂🤣
