Hello everyone! Been waiting on this year's to drop. The board meeting earlier this year has me stoked. Put together a package for FY25 but my package didn't get pushed to the board. Fortunately, I won't need an ETP this year and hoping for 100 pilot selects once again!

After a brief skim of the PSCM it looks like the timeline has shifted left to 15 Aug, glad we will now get notified prior to the holidays. Additionally myVector has been nixed as the final submission step.

Is anyone planning on retaking their AFOQT this year? I would like to take mine on the 7th of May and have some study guides/note cards if anyone is interested.

Lastly, I'm working with my DCO/Wing to determine their deadlines, expect me to post them here as they come out (while not the same everywhere, I'm sure the dates will be similar across the Air Force)

 

I retook both the TBAS and AFOQT last year. The first time I took it (2019) it was on paper still. Due to the new superscoring method I was really only focused on the rated portions and was in and out in 3 hours. Only big item I have is looking to knock out my PPL before the sept cutoff for package updates and at least snagging some PIC time dated this year on my package when it gets pushed for stratting. 

Last year my sq wanted drafts of packages in July to get them in order and ranked before getting pushed up to the wing king. This may not be the timeline for everyone but I'm existing rated (RPA) and typically have 15-20 applicants that make it to the wing.

Welcome! I plan on taking advantage of the super-scoring method as well! Not sure if I will have the funds to complete my PPL yet, but I am only a few hours away from the last "gate" so my intent is to get there by June 1.

Our wing just published a timeline for all of those who are interested:

Squadron Suspense: 20 June

Group/DCO Suspense: 30 June

Wing Suspense: 15 July

Board Suspense: 15 August

Thanks for that Wing timeline as well, a buddy of mine got picked up on the FY25 board and his board suspense was Oct and his suspense to the Sq was early June so I'm surprised with our board suspense being Aug, the Sq suspense isn't sooner??

Welcome! I guess it varies by squadron size (Sq timeline is ultimately up to the SQ/CC & CCE) 

The shift in timeline this year sucks for those who have not initiated their FC1 yet. I asked our Wing Execs what members can expect if they're waiting for the adjudication of their IFC1. Their answer: Submit a memo with your partially complete package to the DCOs and Wing CCEs extrapolating your medical timeline. If, by the time they submit it to AFPC/DRMO, your package is still incomplete, it will be shifted down in HLR Stratification to ensure that the complete packages are competitively stratified across the Air Force. (this will like vary wing to wing)

I knocked out my IFC last year. I reached out in January, did all my tests and appointments in Feb/Mar, then met with the flight doc on 2 April. My IFC didn't get stamped until the end of July, and it wasn't sent to me until the first week of August. That was without any waivers and I was still nervous with the timing. Hopefully a pending medical isn't used to trim down the number of applicants that are pushed.

For real! We have a very motivated member who's getting the rigmarole with our medgroup right now.
