scoobs
If you wanted to fly the bone would it be smart to go FAIP. That way you will upgrade to the left seat and be able to fly more then 2 or 3 times a month?
ASUPilot
If you are dead set on flying the Bone FAIPing in the T-38 would be an EXCELLENT choice!!! You would come through IQC as an AC and assuming you're not an idiot you'd make it. Study/understand your systems insanely well and be ready to A/R because it's required for an AC checkride. Being an AC in the Bone means you will get to fly A LOT more than us CPs! Plus, you'll likely upgrade to IP in a year or so. FAIPing is a good deal unless you wanted to be an astronaut or attend TPS. And lets face it, how many people really want to do that??? Don't be BS'd by dudes in UPT...a FAIP gig can be really good if you work it right. Any more Bone specific questions feel free to ask. scoobs
How long will it take for a copilot to fly more then 2-3 times a month? I couldn't see that happening for 3 years straight. Also how do you like flying the bone in general? How often do you go to red flag or oversees locations? Also whats with the bad rap about being a faip? [ 18.
