Guest SuperStallionIP Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 You wanna fly in the BUSH!!?? You perv!!
Guest Stearmann4 Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 I think you'll find most "bush" jobs in AK require at least 1,500 TT, at least 100 hrs "Alaska time", and 50-100 hrs in whatver type of aicraft the company flies (DHC-2 Beaver, Otter, etc.) As for helo tours in HI, about 3,000 TT, time in type (A-Star, B-206, etc). Good luck
Guest Monguse Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Flying in Hawaii is totally boring like a bear in a cage compared to flying in Alaska. There is no challenge to it except for occasional bad weather to deal with when returning from a tour. You land and takeoff from the same place over and over again all day long. Alaska is huge an diverse with almost 600,000 square miles of territory to cover. Infinitely more interesting. I have flown many years in both places.
