Guest boe Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 What IS the '24hr Billeting Rule', and where is it written??? [ 12. July 2006, 19:15: Message edited by: Toro ]
CHS17 Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 I think he's referring to the Space-A rules. They've changed recently, but I don't know where it's written...
Vetter Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 If you're at the location less than 24 hrs, you can evidently bypass billeting and get a room off base. I don't know or have never found where this is written. Probably in the travel regs somewhere...good luck finding it!

Techsan Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 I asked the question last year... https://www.dynamictruth.com/cgi-bin/ultima...1/t/002597.html
Guest IGB Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Here's the source for that USAF Lodging Reg, the JFTR: JFTR Select JFTR Vol 1 (Ch 1-10)
slacker Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 It works still. I used it last month. The airman processing my travel voucher didn't know about the 24hr rule and wanted a non-avail. I told him to find a supervisor and ask about the 24hr rule. He came back and processed it no problem. I used to keep a copy, i'll try to find it.
