Breckey Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 (edited) Carrying JDAMs and LGBs? Edited July 22, 2012 by Breckey
ClearedHot Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Carrying JDAMs and LGBs? Flexibility is the key to airpower.
Guest Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Not too many folks can appreciate the Cobra formation pic.
Day Man Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Carrying JDAMs and LGBs? Looks like Sidewinders too.
Breckey Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 Gibson Reservior on the Rocky Mountain Front. A convoy finished early so we decided to do some sightseeing.
Danger41 Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 Push it up a little bit Clayton. Poor number 2 needs the boards to not zoom past.
ClearedHot Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Yeah, keep telling yourself that. Truth is they got scrambled to make sure you guys landed at the right airport. ...too soon? And Here I thought the C-17 was following them to the Boneyard so they had a ride home. 2

Stitch Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 ....No no. See, this is a win-win for everybody.....the C-17s land at the right field and the Eagles get an airborne filmer platform to shoot footage for the '13 Raytheon award video. That and the C-17 is full of MX guys, tools and parts as at least one of those Eagles will hard break when they RON somewhere off station. Spent too many years working Eagles, this is closer to the truth than anyone will admit. To the Eagle Keepers!
Danny Noonin Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 (edited) at least one of those Eagles will hard break when they RON somewhere off station. Depends on where they RON. Amazing how 2 motors and redundant hydraulics always seem to work well enough get out of any bad location. Edited July 26, 2012 by Danny Noonin
SocialD Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Depends on where they RON. Amazing how 2 motors and redundant hydraulics always seem to work well enough get out of any bad location. Wasn't aware that Eagles ever went to bad locations...
Whitman Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 We were not getting lost this day... Awesome shot of Patriot's Point and the USS Yorktown. What was the purpose of this formation? I'm sure the tourists on Fort Sumter and elsewhere enjoyed the view!
moosepileit Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Hauled the 33rd up for Tng w/ local bases, in exchange got some DACT. The local Combat Camera folks rode along. This was circa 2006, Russ Cooley got lots of the pics from the sortie published. B roll had lots of keepers. Gotta use the expired MJU-10s somehow. All briefed and blessed.
Bronco130 Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Is it just me or did the 17 leave some taxi or LDG lights on for the flight...
ThreeHoler Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Is it just me or did the 17 leave some taxi or LDG lights on for the flight... Lighs on below 10k bro.
Danger41 Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Lighs on below 10k bro. Yeah, because seeing a C-17 with the lights off is pretty tough.
Sketch Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 This guy has some of the best A2A photos I've seen. Some of you may have flown with him since he seems to be pretty popular in this field and has a wide variety of stuff. https://focalplaneima...d-Wing-aircraft 1
Royal Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 It's not A/A but still sweet Wait, who cleared you to land? Don't tell me you were VFR. 2
