Guest Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Mirror Lake. My squadron saved a kid there last Friday. Had a burst appendix. Cool. Always fun when you can pull something off that others say they can't do. https://www.krtv.com/news/malmstrom-helicopter-crew-rescues-sick-teen-south-of-big-timber/
BolterKing Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Taken today. If you're checking to make sure the Raptor dude hasn't passed out from hypoxia, you need to tighten up the formation.
Guest mudkow60 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 (edited) Mirror Lake. My squadron saved a kid there last Friday. Had a burst appendix. Nice~ Do you guys do the missile gig like what was covered in the Vertical magazine? Looks like good stuff. Congrats on the rescue. Feels good~I try to take pics of most of my day ones. Breckey Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Missile security and support is our primary gig. The civil-SAR mission is an additional mission that we perform for the MT-ID-WY area. Granted its the most challenging/rewarding/sought after mission that we do, but it's still secondary.
EvilEagle Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 If you're checking to make sure the Raptor dude hasn't passed out from hypoxia, you need to tighten up the formation. Tough call - I don't want him getting too close to me...
spaceman Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Tough call - I don't want him getting too close to me... Kind of like the drowning man that would drag you under with him?
DEVIL Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Not necessarily air to air...or pictures for that matter, but some super cool paintings of the battle of britain in the album on this facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/thefew1940/timeline?filter=1
B.M. Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Taken today. No love lost for your locale... Speaking of which, you (fighter) guys get around to restoring the barrier to it's former shame?
B.M. Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 LOL!!!! Tankers + clouds + tail numbers = Classic, yet fresh!
Azimuth Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 LOL!!!! Tankers + clouds + tail numbers = Classic, yet fresh! Next one will be the tankers ######ing up the rejoin!
Prozac Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Next one will be the tankers ######ing up the rejoin! Huh? Despite our propensity for clouds, the sun, and tail numbers, it's usually not us dicking up the rejoin....Usually. 1
EvilEagle Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 No love lost for your locale... Speaking of which, you (fighter) guys get around to restoring the barrier to it's former shame? Yep, I think it was fixed about 20 hours later. The Strike Eagle bros did some damn good work, I must say. Less than a week later their squadron CC (KC10) put forward formal truce paperwork. I shat you negative...
ThreeHoler Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 My bros were not prepared and turned tail like douchers, or LGPOS pilots.
Right Seat Driver Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 My bros were not prepared and turned tail like douchers, or LGPOS pilots. No wonder us fat kids get a bad rep.
JarheadBoom Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 (edited) My bros were not prepared and turned tail like douchers, or LGPOS pilots. Sad. Also hard to believe that a group of military professionals did not realize that if you're going to start a battle with someone, you damned well better be ready to prosecute said battle to it's logical conclusion. edit: Upon further reflection on this community, it's not so hard to believe. Which is even more sad. Edited August 19, 2012 by JarheadBoom
