Guest JArcher00 Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Anyone have the reg numbers that state the amount of crew rest needed for non-flying activities such as days with academics and simulator training? I know it is 12 hours for flying ops but what about the above listed? I feel like my scheduler is screwing us but I don't recall the rest required and can't find it written anywhere. Thanks
Techsan Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 I believe that "crew rest" is only for flying activities.
Guest Walter_Sobchak Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 IIRC, crew rest was the same for sims and RSU duties. For everything else there's no crew rest requirement.
Guest rotorhead Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 The white jets may have some local (wing?) sups, but in the AETC FTU, you can get tagged with a sim or academics with less than 12 hours. We don't plan to schedule that way, however, because if a student goes to FEB, his lawyers would have a field day with that. UPT of course, does not FEB. Look to AFI 11-401 and AETC sup/wing sup to 11-401.
Guest rotorhead Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 By the way, we are NOT allowed to fly an aircraft less than 12 hours after flying the sim. (In case your're wondering why you don't sim in the morning and fly in the afternoon...)
