11F Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Waste of gas, if they're going fighters they'll go super plenty of times. Like on an out...pointed at a town...at 12,000... Like maybe the town of North Pole underneath the JPARC?

carminsandiego Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 ENJJPT 15-04: curious- are vipers bottom of the choice of fighters for students these days?
Kenny Powers Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 I think it's about 50/50 between A/A and A/G and a good mix of strikes/vipers. This class literally dropped 12 AD Vipers though. 1 Raptor, 2 X C-130 and German Tornadoes/EF-2000.
ViperStud Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 What I saw the past few years was that the Raptor was the clear winner for top choice. After that mostly an even split between Mudhen and Viper. The occasional stud wanted a Hog or Eagle. It appears the writing is on the wall for those platforms. If/when that changes I bet they would become more popular again.

In other words, if you guys didn't have the intl studs in your class, would there have been 6 ADs in 38s?

TheGuardGuy Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Good to see big blue is being preemptive about this looming 11F shortage.....
McDonut Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 The trouble is supposedly with a shortage of IFF slots, not UPT. But we still have intls going through our IFF.
HossHarris Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 You know, of course, international iff slots will be higher priority than domestic ..... Right up until about 6 months after stop loss starts
xcraftllc Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 From what I've been told it's basically been a matter of a general shortage of fighter pilot instructors in the training squadrons overall. Both in IFF and the B courses. Not to mention the D model viper set back with the longerons.
scoobs Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 The trouble is supposedly with a shortage of IFF slots, not UPT. But we still have intls going through our IFF. Why don't they just combine it with UPT like the Navy?
