This "UFO" is terrestrial so don't get too excited....just want some input on what you guys think this craft might be.

A friend was alarmed by an unusual logo they saw on a military Aircraft flying near the Atlantic/New York City and did not know what it was and were surprised by the Blue Logo on the plane near the front.

Your input on this matter would be enormously helpfull.

Here is a description of the Aircraft:

I was told, they saw a Grey, Military, Two Engine Aircraft, similar to a Commercial Jetliner, however it did not have "passenger" windows.(no windows on the sides)

The following is all I have of a description of the Logo:

"There was definitely a blue logo with like a....circular logo on the front of the plane....towards the front.....yeah, definitely towards the front."

"Blue logo on the front."

Do any of you have any idea what this might be?

Who would use a "Circular Blue Logo" near the front of the aircraft on this type of plane?

Your input is appreciated to help me solve this UFO mystery.

The KC-135 and KC-10 are the two AF aircraft that look like airliners - grey, no windows...but neither has two engines. If your friend missed the third engine at the base of the tail, he was probably looking at a KC-10

Can't help you with the blue circular logo.

DARPA is a definite possibility.

Have you seen the DARPA symbols used on large aircraft before?

And is it common for DARPA to put the symbol near the front of their craft as opposed to the tail section?

Have your bud go to FAS and click the various aircraft...could have been any number of things, such as C40/737, C32/757, etc. etc. (in addition to some test bird). While these aircraft are typically not gray, he can at least provide more info in the recce (wing engines, centerline/tail engines, etc.)

By the way, how does your bud know it's a US aircraft? For example, the Viscount VC-10 is a gray "airliner" military aircraft from the RAF (4 engines) that routinely flies in the US.

Why would DARPA have "it's own" "Military style aircraft?"

Thanks for the info!

As far as "knowing" the plane was US military-- he does not know who it belongs to.

It had a circular blue logo on the front, that is all.

I "suspect" it was a craft being used by DARPA.

That is what makes it so mysterious.

Thread revival....

Saw in a "combat aircraft" magazine and thought of this thread. The British have L-1011's that they use as refuelers. They have the Blue Royal air force symbol in front and they are now painted all gray. The new gray paint job only sports the Royal air force symbol and a flag on the tail and the windows are grayed out. It has three engines obviously...but this may explain what he saw.
