Gravedigger Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 Anyone have any experience with having a drum set on base? I'm assuming I'm going to have to live in a house off base if I want to bring my drums with me. Any thoughts? (BTW-selling them is not an option)
Bergman Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 I would say that whatever you beat in the privacy of your own home is your business! As long as it doesn't distrub the neighbors you will be fine. Now, the liklihood of that happening is pretty slim...
Guest Falconvalley Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 I realize this thread is old but... Years ago, when I was an Airman on AD, I had my dad bring my set out to me. I lived in the dorms on base. I decided to be a wuss and use brushes. It was still loud enough to draw attention. Fortunately none of the night-shifters were sleeping so it was good attention. End of boring story... I think if your in a dorm- you won't be able to play unless you everyone that is around consents to hearing it- which is unlikely. Also, the security police don't respond well to noise complaints and that generally p's everyone off. They'll warn you a couple of times and then just refer complaints to your superior after that. If you happen to reside somewhere where no one can be bothered- rock on!
