Techsan Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 For my airlift brethren: 1.- The PILOT always make THE RULES. 2.- THE RULES are subject to change at any time without prior notification. 3.- No CO-PILOT can possibly know all THE RULES. 4.- If the PILOT suspects the CO-PILOT knows all THE RULES, he must immediately change some or all THE RULES. 5.- The PILOT is never wrong. 6.- If the PILOT is wrong, it is due to a misunderstanding which was a direct result of something the CO-PILOT did or said wrong. 7.- The CO-PILOT must apologize immediately for causing such misunderstanding. 8.- The PILOT may change his mind at any time. 9.- The CO-PILOT must never change his mind without the express written concern of the PILOT. 10.- The PILOT has every right to be angry or upset at any time. 11.- The CO-PILOT must remain calm at all times unless the PILOT wants him to be angry and/or upset. 12.- The CO-PILOT is expected to mind read at all times. 13.- The PILOT is ready when he is ready. 14.- The CO-PILOT must be ready at all times. 15.- Any attempt to document THE RULES could result in body harm. 16.- The CO-PILOT who doesn't abide by THE RULES is grounded

Guest forcemac Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 You forgot the three authorized co-pilot responses... 1. Nice Landing, Sir 2. First Round is on me 3. I'll take the fat chick

Mambo Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Maybe he's a pilot and one of his rules is "I can write anything I want even if it doesn't make sense." Ref. rule #1
Guest JArcher00 Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 You got that off a t-shirt. I have the same one.

HerkDerka Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Originally posted by HercengTN: Addenda B: must insert Flight Engineer for completion of Pilot and Co- Pilot duties. You're right. I usually make sure to insert my Eng at least once per flight. For example a couple weeks ago my Eng forgets to turn on the APU after landing. As we shut the engines the Pilot and I started howling with laughter as the aircraft lost power. After his lame attempt at passing blame "Why didn't you back me up Co?" I gave him a nice little smirk and answered, "Eng I can't baby-sit everyone at once." Just funnin with ya HercEng. HD
HerkDerka Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 And here's a little look into the ROE of the CP Mafia: Whenever THE PILOT tries to envoke any of the "PILOT vs. COPILOT" rules, the COPILOT will immediately and deliberately, regardless of experience, regress to school-house level performance on the radios and summarily completely destory any and all credibility attached to THE PILOT'S callsign. For we, THE CO-PILOTS, know that no matter how hard we try, THE PILOTS always expect us to be morons. In that sense, THE CO-PILOTS have nothing to lose by exposing you to the ridicule of your friends. HD
Guest HercengTN Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Yeah, down speeding all 4 without the APU is pretty much self critiquing. Im glad I've never done that...
Mambo Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 DID THAT!! But I was at the schoolhouse (53rd) and a brand new FE...It's like the nose gear pin, those that have and those that will!
HerkDerka Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Aaaaah, the nose gear pin. Just saw it happen the other day. Thankfully, I wasn't on that one. I hate sitting duty dog. HercEng - And to be fair to my Eng, it was at the end of a 16hr FDP after a day to night schedule switch. We were all pretty wrecked. Still funny though. Small victories for the CP Mafia. HD [ 28.
