Guest guardhopefull
Got a buddy who wants to know if his son can apply to the USAF for a pilot slot with a GED. He graduated college so he has his bachelors but when in high school he dropped out for 2 months and then had to pursue the GED. I looked for some regs but came up short. Some other people have told me that he can't but figured I would ask around. Thanks
Guest Wxpunk
Your high school transcripts have nothing to do with your pilot package. On that note, I'd say he can. THIS IS UNOFFICIAL. I commend your friend for turning it around. ----------- Wxpunk
Guest CAVOK
To the best of my knowledge: Once you have 15 college credits your GED does not matter any more. A factor for enlisting--not a factor for commissioning. CAVOK
Guest pcampbell
There was a dude in my ENJJPT class with a GED. Any questions?
Guest RJacobs
I am in the same boat as your buddy's son. I dropped out of highschool, got my GED and now have my B.S. and M.S. and have not had anybody ask me for a highschool transcript. College yes, but highschool no. So from first hand experience, NO. If that is the only reason that anybody can come up with to deny a slot of any kind than that is BS.
