Guest KoolKat Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 By MICHAEL J. SNIFFEN, Associated Press Writer 16 minutes ago ALEXANDRIA, Va. - A federal jury rejected the death penalty for al-Qaida conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui on Wednesday and decided he must spend life in prison for his role in the deadliest terrorist attack in U.S. history. After seven days of deliberation, the nine men and three women rebuffed the government's appeal for death for the only person charged in this country in the four suicide jetliner hijackings that killed nearly 3,000 people on Sept. 11, 2001. Three jurors decided Moussaoui had only limited knowledge of the Sept. 11 plot and three described his role in the attacks as minor, if he had any role at all. Moussaoui, as he was led out of the courtroom after the 15-minute hearing, said: "America, you lost. I won." He clapped his hands as he was escorted away. The verdict came after four years of legal maneuvering and a six-week trial that put jurors on an emotional roller coaster and gave the 37-year-old Frenchman of Moroccan descent a platform to taunt Americans. The judge was to hand down the life sentence Thursday morning, bound by the jury's verdict. The jury did not reach the unanimity required for a death sentence. Whether jurors were split on that question or unanimous on a life sentence was not announced. The jury did agree unanimously that Moussaoui "knowingly created a grave risk of death" for more than the intended victims of Sept. 11 and committed his acts with "substantial planning" — accepting two of the aggravating factors necessary for a death sentence. But they did not give sufficient weight to those findings to reach a death sentence, balancing them against mitigating factors offered by the defense. Jurors did not, however, accept defense arguments that Moussaoui was mentally ill. I don't think this dirt bag understands that he wasn't ever going to make it to his execution day regardless. Guest msmith16 Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 His cornhole lost indeed. He will spend the rest of his miserable existence as a ***** for a guy named Rhonda. He better get used to doing this:
HerkDerka Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I figure he'll get stabbed before he even gets the chance to settle into his new cell in general population. HD
Guest Robes Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Actually... he will be in isolation for the rest of his life. Not saying I would not like to see him in the general prison population, but for his safety and the legal end of the prison system.
Guest viper24 Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Im sure we all wanted to see this worthless POS fry for what he did, but you got to remember that would make him a martyr for his cause and give his people someone to look up to. Maybe even try to be like. That puts us between a rock and a hard place. Do we spend money keeping him in jail or something else. IMHO, I think we need to put him in the most crude, hostile, unimaginable place and let the other bubbas take care of him. Im sure they would like to snack on him for awhile. Robes - I hope you dont care about "his safety" in jail Just my .02. Either way, hope he rots in hell!
trailmix Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Did they say he will be in solitaire? I don't think thats the case... even maximum security prisons have a gen. population. In fact, the reason he would have wanted death is because death row inmates are on solitare confinement until their sentence is carried out which may take years. I bet this dude gets shived, either by inmate or guard... sh*t happens ya know? Edit: I really can't spell good... [ 03. May 2006, 18:55: Message edited by: trailmix ]
Guest sleepy Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 viper--I think Robes would like to see this guy die a slow and painful death caused by lacerations from a rusty spoon just as much as you and I would. He would have said "You lost, I won" regardless of the verdict. F-him. The prison population will consider him lower than a baby raper.
Guest Robes Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 I would like to see him rotting in hell and die by papercuts while being dipped in lemon juice... The media will not say that he is going to solitary, but he will... after a few years of being a cop I learned how the system works. I only care about his safety in jail to the extent that I hope I do not have to take the felony assault case once he his assaulted. (Assaulting of a confined person is a felony in just about every state and in the federal system) There are plenty of people who I have arrested who I have wanted to see dead and they are a lot 'better' than Moussaoui. Moussaoui is considered an at risk individual, similar to Tim Mcveigh. EDIT: Bendy I just saw your status... Drunken Poster NICE! [ 03. May 2006, 21:19: Message edited by: Robes ]
Guest KoolKat Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Way to be observant... McVeigh was also given the death penalty, thus the solitary... This ball of shit, is not going to be so lucky. Expect him to fall of the radar for a few weeks. Once he finds his fate, the media will pick the story back up with fury. The whole USA is unjust BS. BENDY
AOF_ATC Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 I sure hope it isn't solitary. If he isn't in solitary I wouldn't be surprised if the guy(s) that kill the bastard aren't given a shorter sentence due to good behavior. I'd like to see a guard who WOULDN'T look the other way during that. [ 03. May 2006, 22:12: Message edited by: JasonG ]
HerkDerka Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Even if they were to put him into some type of SHU or solitary, you have to remember than cons get smart in prison (in the wrong ways) and there are plenty of corrupt guards out there (ever wonder how all those drugs get in?) Also consider how prison gangs are all based on race. Black, Hispanics, Whites. Ever seen anything called the South Street Hajis on Oz? Nope. He won't have anyone to protect him. Basically, his days are numbers. Some guard will make sure his personal shower tiem coincides with Stabby McNasty's. It will be a short life sentence. That much I'm sure of. HD

"American History X" isn't going be just a movie to that freak... Hydro
Rocker Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Either that, or he'll get an honorary doctorate from GWU or something, write a children's book, and then be out 6 years from now when a democrat in the Whitehouse says "Zacarias who?"
Guest ELan Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 You guys forget that Guards are more then likely patriotic americans. They get to do their part in the war against terror by feeding and BEATING the guy on a daily basis. Have fun with that you F#$#$$# raghead!!!
Herk Mafia Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Here is some feel good info about the prison from the SuperMax website. Its great he will be here for the rest of his unnatural life rather than being put down like a rabid dog. This will be much more painful. In the arid, remote high desert, the triangular, two-story, high-tech ADX is almost invisible, as are its 417 male inmates. Many spend 23 of every 24 hours double-locked in an 8-by-12-foot cell behind a steel door and barred grate. Some spend the day's remaining hour alone as well, exercising in a small concrete recreation area and subjected to strip searches upon leaving and re-entering their cells. Except for the guards, there is no direct human contact. Unparalled in America, it is the only prison specifically designed to keep every occupant in near-total solitary confinement, rarely allowing inmates to see other prisoners. It is spent, typically, in a 12-by-7- foot cell. Beds, desks and stools are made of poured concrete. Toilets have a valve that shuts off the water if an inmate tries to flood his cell by stopping it up. Sinks have no taps, just buttons -- inmates used to unscrew the taps and use the plumbing parts as shanks. A 42-inch window, 4 inches wide, looks out on a one-man concrete recreation yard, which prisoners with good behavior can eventually use. The ADX goes to great lengths to bring everything into the cells -- books, food, television -- so that inmates never need to leave. A 12- inch black-and-white TV in each cell shows closed-circuit classes in psychology, education, anger management, parenting and literacy. Religious services of numerous denominations are piped in from a small chapel, where prison officials display for the videocamera the religious objects appropriate for a given faith. Haney, the Santa Cruz psychologist who has testified as an expert witness in cases involving supermax confinement, said the effect of isolation in places like Florence is dramatic. Prisoners ``become extremely depressed and lethargic -- sleeping, lying on their bunks, staring at the ceiling, declining to go out and exercise,'' he said. They begin to lose memory, can't concentrate and suffer severe panic attacks, he said, or become uncontrollably enraged over insignificant things.

What is also shows the rest of those douce-nozzles is that no matter where you are, once we get our hands on you, whether it's in a cave in Afghanistan, or on our own US soil, you are going to pay the ultimate price, your life. (and then they find out that the 69 vigins have already been de-flowered). By giving him the life sentence, all we have shown those clowns is that the jury, a respresentation of the US populace, is made up of pu$$ies. If the US legal system would get their skull out of their arse and actually be able to prosecute a case is something under a 5 year timeframe, that would be outstanding. There has been so much time since 9-11 and now, that most Americans have forgotten what happenend on that day. They have forgotten the fear and feeling of helplessness they felt that day. If this trial had taken place within a year of 9-11, I bet my paycheck that no-one on the jury would have been thinking about anything other that the death penalty. Hoser [ 04. Login Name Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 i'm glad we're not killing him. i think it's worse to rot in jail the rest of your life....but he shouldn't have access to anything. no books, tv, koran, nothing. that's what prison should be. if i were a guard at the prison, i'd like to tell him..."welcome to federal pound you in the ass prison."
Guest Hoser Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Those wack jobs understand one thing and it's not sitting in a cozy cell getting to do PT and 3 squares a day while watching TV and getting a degree. They understand being ruled by an iron fist that includes physical violence when they screw the pooch. An eye for eye! Hoser

trailmix Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 I agree, wish it were less solitaire. But he will slowly go crazy in there, and he will not have been martyred. Killing him will not bring back those who died on 9/11, and he really didnt have much to do with it (according to various reports) I wanted to see him hang, personally... but he got a fair trial, something no one outside of the USA is really guaranteed. Guest TomandFle Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 One thing to keep in mind is that given the speed (or lack thereof) of our justice system, even if he had gotten the death penalty it would have been another 20 years keeping him alive on our dime, which sucks. A guy was just executed the other day for a 1984 murder. I read the jury's verdict and the whole martyrdom thing was not a factor in their decision. In other words, none of the jurors found that execution would give him, jihad, Al Qaeda, or any other muslim freaks a perception of his being a martyr. My opinion...they should have fried him. Inhumanely, like cutting off one appendage at a time. Give him a little taste of his own medicine.
trailmix Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Or duct tape him to the front of a remote control 757 and fly him into a building?

Sort of. Giving someone the death penalty, due to lawyers, appeals, etc., costs roughly the equivalent of incarcerating them for 60 years. He doesn't deserve a quick, painless death, even 20 years from now. He deserves to slowly rot away. Remember, life in prison, especially solitary confinement, is a death sentence. Just a much slower, more miserable death. And if someone in the prison gets to him and finishes him off, at least it won't be painless and peaceful. Let him rot for years and live with the fear of retribution, daily. I consider that a far worse fate.
Login Name Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 since these arabs love unclean meat like pork, this would be a good ending for him... "You're always goin to have problems lifting a body in 1 piece. Apparently the best thing to do is cut up the corpse into 6 pieces and pile it all togetha. And when you got your 6 pieces you gotta get rid of'em 'cause it's no good leavin' it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs, you gotta starve the pigs for a few days then the sight of a chopped up body will look like curry to a piss head. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggie's digestion. You could do this afterwards o'course but you don't wanna go siftin' thru pig shit now do ya. They will go thru bone like butta. You need at least 16 pigs to finish the job in one sitting so be wary of any man who owns a pig farm. They will go thru a body that weighs 200 pounds in about 8 minutes. That means that a single pig can consume 2 pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression 'as greedy as a pig'".
