Guest sleepy Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I searched. Apparently no one else wanted to fess up. For the past six or so months, I periodically have some kind of crap around my tonsils. I've gotten to where I can hack it up after a while, sometimes as one big chunk--little bigger than a pencil eraser, Skittle, or M&M--or sometimes as little chucks. Disgusted yet? Today I hacked up one and took a whiff of it. Lawdy, lawd it was awful. Bad breath x3. I don't have bad breath according to "trusted friends;" regardless, I don't like this junk back there. Anyone else had this? Reckon' having my tonsils extracted will help?
Guest F16PilotMD Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Normal debris in the crypts of your tonsils. Why worse now? Who knows. I would not have your tonsils taken out for this. That sh8t hurts beyond your kid years. Some folks use a "water-pik" or mouth wash. It most definitely contributes to "bad breath". About the only docs who can give you reliable, more in-dpth info are ENTs. Dentists, flight docs, etc...waste o' time.
Whitman Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 I used to have that occasionally when i was younger. It's looks like colleflower right? That was disgusting. Good luck with that
Mark1 Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Good god man. This topic should have a disclaimer, but I got curious and found this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonsil_stone Sounds like what F16PilotMD is describing, but has some details that might help you out. Suggests using a Waterpik to clean your tonsils but I would imagine that would be uncomfortable.
